0870 Numbers

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON YOUR 0870 NUMBERS

As of the 31st of January 2008 all 0870 Numbers will attract a small charge on all incoming calls to 2.85 pence per minute to comply with the new regulations set by Ofcom.

If you decide that you do not want to pay for this new charge, you have the following options:-

* Have your 0870 number disconnected and you lose the right of use to that number.

OR

* Have your 0870 number replaced by a 0844 number

Get an 0844 Number that redirects to your landline >

that does not levy any charge to you and you continue with the same benefits that you had with the 0870 - this would just be a change of number redirecting to your existing landlines.

OR

* Have your 0870 replaced by an 0871 number - this will give you the same benefits as you had with the 0870 number but you will be subject to the new governing rules from Ofcom as illustrated in http://www.icstis.org.uk/, in the main you are instructed to comply and to

adhere to the 11th code of practice as published by ICSTIS as well as regulations published by Ofcom did which will give you a rebate. The cost of an 0871 number is between 6pp and 9pp to the caller dependent on when the call is made.
